The tread on the tire is there to allow the water from the road to go away from the tire, so that the section of the tire that is in contact with the road will not get water between it and the road. This is known as aqua planing. This is where the water gets between the tire and the road and the automobile tires are not in contact with the road and so can slide. This can mean that you do not have any braking or steering, so it is essential to make sure that the tread on your automobile tires is good. Automobile tires will usually wear more on one side or section. Some people move them around to compensate for this, but that does mean that all of the tires will wear out at the once and you will have to replace them all at the same time.
The other thing that you need to check regularly is the pressure of the automobile tires. If the pressure is not right then the car will not be balanced well and might not steer straight. It could also affect the amount of grip that the tire has on the road and affect the handling of the car. You should always read the manufacturers handbook to find out what the right pressure for the tires is. It is sometimes also printed on the side of the tire. It is worth checking every week to make sure that the pressures are right. You should also check for any damage to the tire. Looking after your automobile tires is very easy as long as you do it regularly and it can save you money as well.
